Netcapital Financial Group organized two community-focused initiatives under the third principle of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Good Health and Well-Being.

As a part of its commitment to the third principle of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on good health and well-being, Netcapital Financial Group has organized two community-focused projects:

1. Donating Jaundice and Nebulizer Machines to a Hospital

Approximately 1,300 to 1,500 children die annually from neonatal jaundice per 100,000 births. In Mongolia, jaundice affects an average of 70% of full-term infants and 80% of premature infants. Without timely diagnosis and treatment, jaundice can lead to severe health issues, including cerebral palsy, blindness, hearing loss, and speech difficulties. For instance, a bilirubin level of 342 indicates a severe form of jaundice, 427 is considered highly dangerous, and anything above 510 suggests kernicterus, which means cerebral palsy has already occurred. The most effective non-medicinal treatment for neonatal jaundice worldwide is phototherapy.

In line with this, Netcapital Financial Group, which operates 36 branches across 21 provinces and 9 districts, opened a new branch in the Baganuur district. To contribute to the treatment of jaundice, a common illness among newborns, the group donated 3 neonatal jaundice machines and 3 neonatal nebulizer machines to the maternity ward of the Baganuur District General Hospital.

2. Providing Air Purifiers to Kindergartens

While adults typically catch colds 2 to 4 times a year, children get sick much more frequently. Some experts believe that children under two years old catch colds an average of 8 to 10 times a year. Although the risk of catching a cold decreases during the summer, in other seasons, weakened immune systems and large class sizes increase the risk of infectious diseases. Using an air purifier with a UV-C light and a humidifier in classrooms sterilizes 99.9% of germs, viruses, and bacteria, helping to prevent colds and other infectious diseases.

To address this issue, Netcapital Financial Group provided air purifiers with UV-C lights and humidifiers to seven kindergartens in Bulgan province. The equipment was handed over to the kindergartens' management and teachers, contributing to a healthier environment for the children.
